Blue-crowned trogon (Trogon curucui)

The blue-crowned trogon is a species of bird in the family Trogonidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.The male has a blue crown, a black face, a red belly, a green back and a striped tail. The female lacks the colourful plumage.
